When should I use Pet Sitting services?
There are many different times when you could use pet sitting services. Whether it be a daily visit and extra attention for your pet(s) or during vacations or family emergencies, Spotlight Pet Sitting, LLC will help your pet(s). Here are just few examples when you might use pet sitting services:
- Long hours at work. A Long Day Skiing.
Don’t feel stressed or rush home from a fun-filled day trip. We will come over and feed and take care of your pet(s) when work keeps you away from home. With the love and attention of “the STAR treatment” your pet(s) will feel loved even when you can’t be there.
- Weekend Vacations. Business Trips.
Keep your pet(s) in their routine even when you can’t be home. Keeping your pet(s) at home and in a comfortable environment will make for a stress-free vacation or business trip. We’ll come over and provide love and attention when business or play keeps you away from home.
- Family Celebrations. Family Emergencies.
Are your hands full with a newborn baby or are family emergencies keeping you away from your pet(s)? During times of expected and unexpected happenings, we can help keep your pet(s) happy and healthy while you spend time with family. Every family has times of chaos and we can make those times a little less stressful by providing care to your pet(s).
- Puppies and elders.
Do you pet(s) need mid-day care but you can’t make it home? We’ll take care of your pet(s) by providing necessary mid-day care. Whether it be letting puppies out for potty breaks, administering medicine to elders, or playing with your pet(s), Spotlight Pet Sitting, LLC will be there to help with our changing needs.
What’s the difference between pet sitting and boarding my pet(s)?
Pet sitting provides in-home services. This means that your pet(s) can stay happy and comfortable while you’re away from home. Keeping you pet(s) on the same routine as when you’re at home will reduce the stress on your pet(s).
Here are some other differences:
- No transporting of your pet(s).
We’ll come to your home reducing the hassle of crating and hauling your pet(s).
- Less risk of sickness.
Keeping your pet(s) in your house will keep your pet(s) in its (or their) usual routine, reducing the risk of stress related illness. Plus, in-home care eliminates germs that may be passed around in a boarding setting.
- Peace of mind.
Spotlight Pet Sitting Services will provide you peace of mind by meeting you and your pet(s) before your head out of town. Getting to know you and your pet(s) will enable us to provide personalized care.
- One-on-One time.
While we’re at your house, your pet(s) get our full attention. We’ll give your pet(s) lots of love and attention while providing necessary cleaning and feeding services.
- Security.
Keeping your pet(s) in your home can provide extra security. Also, while we’re at your home, we’ll bring in the mail, rotate lights as instructed. This will make your home look lived-in while you’re away.
What kind of pets do you care for?
Spotlight Pet Sitting Services specializes in care for dogs and cats; however, we will offer individualized care for your other pets in your family, including birds, fish, hamsters etc. Please call Spotlight Pet Sitting Services at (603) 848-0525 for more information.
Do you offer any dog training services?
While we are caring for your pet(s), we can work on basic commands as needed (See our additional services area). Co-founder Kelly Blizzard has been successful in training many dogs, including dogs that were tagged as “dumb” and unable to sit on command. Feel free to call Spotlight Pet Sitting Services to talk about your custom training needs.
How do we get started?
The first step is to call Spotlight Pet Sitting Services to set up a consultation. Consultations will be at a convenient time for you, including nights and weekends. This will give us time to meet you and your pet(s) and understand the individualized care we can provide for your family. To maximize our time during our visit, please fill out the forms before we arrive so that we can spend all our time getting to know your pet(s).
Consultations usually begin with a tour of your home. We would like to know which rooms in the house are available to your pet(s), and which doors should remain closed. Also, during this tour we will ask about favorite hiding and napping spots that your pet(s) may have. For caged animals, we will use this time to get to know the feeding and cleaning schedule, as well as where all of your supplies are kept.
Please read our Ready, Set, Go Checklist.
My pet(s) isn’t very social, will you care for it?
All pet(s) must be people friendly. The consultation will be our time to get to know your pet(s). For the safety of our staff, any animals that appear to be aggressive towards people, will not be a match for our services.
We do realize that all pet(s) have their quirks. In order to best serve your pet(s), please be open with what you pet(s) likes and doesn’t like. If your dog is aggressive, this may be the perfect in-home care solution for your pet(s). Please let Spotlight Pet Sitting know of your dogs aggressiveness so that we can provide them lots of love and care but keep them away from situations that may stress them out.
